April 29, 2025 - In the deciding game seven against Iowa at the Coliseum, the Komets took down the Heartlanders to advance to the next round of the Kelly Cup Playoffs. For the sixth time in the series, the Komets failed to score first, as Iowa's Ryan Miotto scored the only goal of the first period at 5:36. April 27, 2025 - On Sunday, the Komets faced a must-win game six at the Coliseum as they defeated the Heartlanders to force a game seven. In the first period, Alex Aleardi scored his fourth goal of the series to put the Komets up 1-0 with assists from Darren Brady and Kyle Mayhew at 14:27. Later in the period, with Blake Murray in the penalty box for holding, Nolan Volcan stripped the puck and came in on a breakaway to score the team's second shorthanded goal of the series at 18:04. April 24, 2025 - The Komets dropped game five of the best-seven-series on Thursday to the Heartlanders. The Heartlanders blitz the Komets for three first-period goals to take control early and chase starting goaltender Brett Brochu. Fort Wayne's Garver Named Warrior Hockey ECHL Equipment Manager of the Year

April 23, 2025 - SHREWSBURY, N.J. - The ECHL announced on Wednesday that Skylar Garver of the Fort Wayne Komets is the 2024-25 recipient of the ECHL Equipment Manager of the Year Award, presented by Warrior Hockey. The winner is determined in a vote of the league's equipment managers. A Fort Wayne native, Garver grew up in Stephens City, Virginia, and began playing hockey at the age of four.
